Christopher - 8 Months

This picture was not easy to get. I kept having to push you back while you tried to crawl forward (off of the chair).

You are so close to going from sitting to all fours and from lying down to sitting. Even though you don't technically crawl on all fours yet, you are able to scoot your body on your tummy so fast that crawling really just seems like a formality at this point.

You are eager to touch, eat, see, hear, and experience everything. I love to watch you discover something new and exciting. And while I long for you to just lay your head on my shoulder sometimes I know that you are just too busy taking everything in. I love that you still want to observe most things from your perch on my hip, wriggling out of my grasp for only the most important things like my soda can, the baby wipes, and Edward.

Your wiggles are off the charts lately. I can hardly hold on to you when you see something you want. You love to be thrown in the air and to wrestle with your brother - a boy thing I don't totally understand. I love how big your smile gets when I hold you up in the air and wiggle you around. I bought a Fit Bit the other day to track my steps and they recommend trying to set a goal of 10,000 steps a day. I hit that easily everyday by about 3 pm without even trying. You have had me on the move this past month to put it mildly.

You are eating well and either like to try hold your own bottle or have me feed it to you "baby-goat style."  I'm not sure why this preference, but it's pretty funny.

Often, I look at you and feel so overwhelmed with love and joy just by the sight of your little face and body. I wish I could capture your intense "glad-all-over" little body that curls up around my arms when I throw you up above my head or kicks and flaps furiously when you see something that excites you!

I can't believe we are already at 8 months. I love you little honey bear!
