Happy 3rd Birthday Edward!

It's hard to believe it's been three whole years since that wonderful moment when we met. I will never forget it, your first breath, your first cry, our eyes met and it was like magic. Like peeking into Heaven and seeing the face of an angel. I remember it every time I look into your big blue eyes.

You are growing into such a sweet an strong young boy. You are tough. You don't like to cry when you get hurt, instead you like to "shake it off" and have mommy kiss it. You will however break down into a fit of tears over a dinosaur. You are passionate about what you love, especially dinosaurs.  In fact, you know the names of most of the dinosaurs and you're not afraid of a long complicated name like pachycephalosaurus. 

You're becoming a wonderfully confident little boy who loves to play with friends but also finds joy in playing with a balloon  by himself.  I love watching you play and watching your imagination run wild as you pretend a "fire-breathing dragon" is chasing you or that you are a "T-Rex who needs to fight Mommy." 

While you are wild and full of joy, you also love to snuggle.  At night, you yell, "MOMMY COME SNUGGLE ME RIGHT NOW!" from your bed.  It's one of my favorite times.  We sing our special snuggle song and you put your face right in mine so I can feel your eyelashes and know when you are falling asleep.  I know it won't last forever, so I cherish every night with you. 

So Happy 3rd Birthday Edward!  I'm so proud to be your Mommy!
